Every kitchen has a story

Your recipe could become someone else’s tradition.

From a quick weeknight favourite to a recipe handed down through generations, we’d love to help you share it. You don’t need to be a chef or a content creator. We’ll guide you through each step and give approved recipes their own page, with your name and story.

Before you begin

A recipe you have the right to share.

A clear photo of the finished dish.

Ingredient quantities and a step-by-step method.

Servings, preparation and cooking times.

Make it yours.

Tell us the story behind the dish. Your recipe author name will appear with approved recipes.

Complete each section to give your recipe its own Culina page. Culina calculates estimated nutrition in the background using its ingredient nutrition service. You do not need to calculate it. Values vary with ingredients, brands and portion sizes. Optional sections appear only when supplied. Fields marked * are required. Fields marked Optional can be left blank.

1. About you

The name you want shown beside your recipe. This can be your name or your cooking brand.

An email address we can use if we have questions. It will not appear on your recipe page.

Optional. Tell readers a little about yourself in 2 or 3 sentences.

Optional. Paste the full link to your website or social profile, starting with https://.

2. Recipe and story

Use a clear dish name, for example Beef Rendang or Lemon Cheesecake.

Write 2 or 3 sentences describing the dish, its flavour and why someone would enjoy making it.

Choose the cooking tradition that best fits your dish, for example Thai or Italian. Mention a missing choice in Other recipe notes.

Choose when or how the dish is served, for example Breakfast, Main Course or Side Dish.

List the main ingredients or useful categories, with a comma between each. Example: chicken, rice, curry.

Tell us where the dish comes from, for example West Sumatra, Indonesia. If you are unsure, write Origin uncertain.

Give your story a short heading, for example Why I love this recipe.

Tell us how you discovered or developed the recipe and what makes it special to you. A short paragraph is enough.

Share the tips that help someone get it right, such as what to look for, which pan to use or a mistake to avoid.

Optional. Explain any changes that make this recipe easier on a boat, at a campsite or in a small kitchen.

Tell readers what to serve with the dish and how to finish it. Example: Serve with steamed rice and lime wedges.
